Do I need front and rear bumper guard ?
Bumper guards and bumper protectors are an inexpensive way to protect your vehicle’s plastic bumpers in a parking garage environment.
(a) A damaged bumper can significantly reduce the resale value of your vehicle, and result in extra charges at the end of your lease term.
(b) Repainting a damaged bumper can cost hundreds of dollars.
(c) Plastic bumpers can be easily scratched when bumped into another vehicle or a stationary object i.e. a concrete wall.
Can I use the Bumper Blocker rear bumper protector outdoors?
The Bumper Blocker rear bumper protector is covered in a quality 100% cotton material that is water resistant, not Water Proof. As such, we do not recommend it for outdoor parking use. A light drizzle is okay. Moderate to heavy rain will eventually soak into the fabric. Regular outdoor use will shorten product life.
Can I park on the street with Bumper Blocker front bumper guard attached?
Some states prohibit covering of license plates when parked on the street. Please check your local/state laws before ordering a front and/or rear bumper guard. If you park on the street in NYC, do not cover your front license plate or you risk a ticket.
My Bumper Blocker front / rear bumper protector will not stay on…I cannot find a good anchor point for the strap end hooks ?
The Bumper Blocker bumper protector may not fit some vehicles. Check our vehicle fit guide for more information. If your vehicle’s plastic wheel well lining is flush with the bumper edge it may be difficult to anchor the end hooks. Try bending the flexible end hooks to resemble the letter “L” or other configuration. You can also e-mail us regarding optional Velcro attachment straps.
The rear bumper guard security straps will not stick to my vehicle’s carpet. What should I do?
Velcro will not stick to some trunk carpeting. In this case you can drop the straps into the trunk and close the trunk lid. The weigh of the trunk should keep the rear bumper guard from falling down. You can also purchase an extra piece of Velcro and stick this tab to the hard plastic inside of the trunk….the straps can then attach here.
How do I attach the front and rear bumper protector ?
Bend the elastic strap end pieces so that they resemble a hook and attach it to the bumper edge. The Bumper Blocker should fit firmly across the bumper. Can I drive my vehicle with the Bumper Blocker front or rear bumper guards ?
Do not drive or operate a vehicle with a front / rear bumper guard outside the vehicle. The bumper guards may come off while driving causing injury. Always return the bumper guards to vehicle’s trunk prior to leaving a NYC parking garage. The Bumper Blocker was designed as a temporary bumper protector for a parked vehicle only.
Will the Bumper Blocker protect my bumper from damage?
The Bumper Blocker was intended to protect the bumper finish only. It may not protect your bumper from impacts greater than 1MPH. The product may help minimize the risk of scratches, the result of low impact parking maneuvers. The Bumper Blocker was not designed to be a structural component that would contribute to vehicle crashworthiness or occupant protection during front or rear collisions.
The Bumper Blocker partially covers my exhaust pipes, can I still use the product?
DO NOT USE the Bumper Blocker if it will cover or may come in contact with a vehicles exhaust pipes. A hot exhaust pipe may damage the product. Please read all product warning and instructions prior to using.
How do you ship? Is expedited shipping available?
We ship using UPS ground. Orders within the tri-state area are delivered usually within 1-3 business days. We do not ship overnight since the cost is excessive.
What is your refund policy?
If not satisfied with the purchase, you may return the product for a refund within 15 days of receipt, minus initial shipping cost. Also buyer is responsible for return shipping. To return a product, please contact us at customerservice@bumperblocker.com for RA# and instructions. Product must be returned in new / resellable condition. Damaged or dirty products will not be refunded.
