Why do I need a bumper guard?
Bumper guards and bumper protectors are an inexpensive way to protect your vehicle’s plastic bumpers in a parking garage environment.
(a) A damaged bumper can significantly reduce the resale value of your vehicle, and result in extra charges at the end of your lease term.
(b) Repainting a damaged bumper can cost hundreds of dollars. (c) Plastic bumpers can be easily scratched when bumped into another vehicle or a stationary object i.e. a concrete wall.
Can I use the Bumper Blocker outdoors?
The Bumper Blocker is not weather proof, so we do not recommend it for outdoor parking. Heavy down pours may damage the fabric and foam.
Can I park on the street with the Bumper Blocker attached?
Some states prohibit covering of license plates when parked. Please check your local/state laws before ordering.
ex. If you park on the street in NYC and the Bumper Blocker covers your license plate you risk getting a parking violation.
I cannot find a suitable anchor point for the Bumper Blocker end hooks, they keep falling off?
If your vehicle’s wheel well is flush with the bumper edge you can try bending the flexible end hooks to resemble the letter “L” or another configuartion. You can also order the optional Velcro attachment straps. (To order the optional velcro straps, please go to the ORDER page).
The security straps will not stick to my vehicle’s carpet. What should I do?
The Velcro will not stick to some trunk carpeting. If this is the case, simply drop the straps into the trunk and close the trunk lid. The weigh of the trunk will keep the product from falling down.
How do I attach the Bumper Blocker?
Simply bend the end pieces so that they resemble a hook and attach it to the edge of your vehicle's bumper. The Bumper Blocker should fit firmly across the bumper. Can I drive my vehicle with the Bumper Blocker attached?
Do not drive or operate a vehicle with a Bumper Blocker outside the vehicle. The product may come off while driving causing injury. Return the product to vehicle’s trunk prior to leaving a parking garage. The Bumper Blocker was designed as a temporary bumper protector for a parked vehicle only.
Will the Bumper Blocker protect my bumper from damage?
The Bumper Blocker was intended to protect the bumper finish only. It may not protect your bumper from impacts greater than 1MPH. The product may help minimize the risk of scratches, the result of low impact parking maneuvers. The Bumper Blocker was not designed to be a structural component that would contribute to vehicle crashworthiness or occupant protection during front or rear collisions.
The Bumper Blocker partially covers my exhaust pipes, can I still use the product?
DO NOT USE the Bumper Blocker if it will cover or may come in contact with a vehicles exhaust pipes. A hot exhaust pipe may damage the product. Please read all product warning and instructions prior to using.
How do you ship? Is expedited shipping available?
We ship using UPS ground. Orders within the tri-state area are delivered usually within 1-3 business days. We do not ship overnight since the cost is excessive.
What is your refund policy?
If not satisfied with the purchase, you may return the product for a refund within 15 days of receipt, minus initial shipping cost. Also buyer is responsible for return shipping. To return a product, please contact us at customerservice@bumperblocker.com for RA# and instructions. Product must be returned in new / resellable condition. Damaged or dirty products will not be refunded.
